Our homes are a collection of the things we care about. Over the years this has influenced people’s lifestyle at home — Their product choices, the conversations they have around them, and the relationships they build with their environment. As we move into an omni-present digital world, and where most human interactions are mediated by technology, what is the role of home in the future? How can we begin understanding that future? What cues or signals are we seeing now?
This talk is an exploration of the efforts and the work that IKEA is putting behind these questions. We will explore the research and the design work behind some of the latest platforms being developed at IKEA in China, to help Chinese consumers explore, understand, and improve their quality of life at home.
